Yes, I should perhaps have mentioned that the child William A. PERRY - aged 4 years - appeared on the 1871 Census also (and I had too, checked GRO index and noted that the mother of both William and George Henry had the maiden name of BOOTH).

Can't find a PERRY / BOOTH marriage at all ??  Or even an Andrew PERRY marrying.   Parents both born Staffordshire - the son William's birth was registered at Darlington, Durham, and by the time George Henry arrived, they lived in / near Barnsley (Yorkshire). [ So have checked those places for a marriage. ]
