I can’t see him in Ireland deaths but could he have died there.
Is there a death or grave for his wife, Dora?

He certainly had a son or grandson in Dublin in the 1990s. But then he had a daughter or grand daughter supposedly a professor in Germany...

I really can't find any sign of his death or burial, or that of his second wife.

There was another burial in the family grave in Ford Cemetery in Liverpool, in January 1964, also managed by a William Crean. But that could be William's son, also William, born 1941, or his father.

I don't know if you have seen that someone on Ancestry (related I think to the KENNY family) have Dora's death as Nov 1968 at Dun Laoghaire.  I think this might be the death they are referring to, this person drowned in the sea off West Pier.

https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/deaths_returns/deaths_1968/04180/4065651.pdf

They have a specific date of death for William - 28 Sep 1963, but no location.

Agree with that, heywood

22 Granville Crescent, Cabinteely

She died 'in the sea off West Pier, Dun Laoghaire' (as quoted by Dundee).
