Thanks, softly softly. There are a couple of possible baptisms but I can't narrow it down. And although it says "Y" for "born in county" in the 1841 census, I can't really be sure of that either with no other confirmation.

He's not the Abraham Wardle who married Dorothy Nix and lived in Whitwick.
