Anglican Church stuff for Norman Allen Langley (1905-1980)
« on: Saturday 16 December 23 01:29 GMT (UK) »
Hello,
My Step-Grandfather Norman Allen Langley (1905-1980) appears to have been Anglican and I am wondering if anybody can find any church stuff on him, i.e. Baptism, Confirmation, etc.; He grew up in Toronto, Canada. He moved to Chicago as a young adult.
    Thanks,
          Brian

Hi,

If you don't have a subscription, you can find a lot of Canadian records for free on familysearch.

If you are looking for religious records, you will have to contact the appropriate Anglican Church archives to see if they can help you.

At the time of his birth, the family was living at 428 Church Street, Toronto.  The nearest Anglican (Church of England) church would have been All Saints; however, all of the records would be held in the archives of the Archdiocese of Toronto. I've  had good luck in the past in getting info from them

I contacted the Anglican Diocese of Toronto Archives in Decemeber 2023 and they were not able to locate a church record. For a fee they can do a more exhaustive search. See sources at profile of Norman Allan Langley at Familysearch. They were able to confirm him on 1911 Canada Census.
