United States Air Force at RAF Sturgate in the 1950s
« on: Saturday 16 December 23 18:34 GMT (UK) »
I've been doing some research on the USAF when it was based at RAF Sturgate in Lincolnshire in the 1950s and I'm hoping that some Roots Chat members might be able to help.

The base had its own newspaper which I believe was called "Sturgate Farm News". The base had the nickname "Sturgate on the Farm" because of its rural location.

I've never been able to find any copies of the newspaper so I have no idea what it looked like, what form it took, what it covered etc., and I was wondering if anyone out there might be able to help.

Fingers crossed.

Many thanks.

Chris.

I'm sorry but I can't actually help because I only saw Sturgate after it had all gone.
I'm very interested to hear what you might find as my father was based there.
