Torry Bowling Club 1930's
« on: Sunday 17 December 23 18:00 GMT (UK) »
Does anyone know if the Torry Bowling Club still exits?  I'm looking for information from the 1930's when James Hamilton was President.  I found a photograph in The People's Journal, May 13, 1939 and would like to see if there are other photos.

My Grandfather was a member for years it belonged to Aberdeen Council, pretty certain it has been closed for years, the last time i saw a photo the Tennis Courts and putting green were all overgrown so assume the two Bowling greens would be the same.

If you're on Facebook, there are a couple of heritage groups in Torry which may have more information. There's the Torry Memories & Heritage Society, and the Torry Heritage Group. Both are active and meet in person too, but will hopefully be able to answer any queries online.
