Might be Scirrhus (the pencil mark obscuring the final 's')

Researching: Cuthbertson – Co. Derry, Scotland & Australia; Hunter – Co. Derry; Jackson – Co. Derry, Scotland & Canada; Scott – Co. Derry; Neilly – Co. Antrim & USA; McCurdy – Co. Antrim; Nixon – Co. Cavan, Co. Donegal, Canada & USA; Ryan & Noble – Co. Sligo

It means a hard mass often a complication of cancer, also in castration a complication.
The castration ,perhaps due to cancer  of the testicles.
Viktoria..
P.S.This lady of course would not have been treated for cancer of the testicles,so a hard mass from another cancer perhaps.V.
