Womens Royal Naval Service 1945/1946
« on: Thursday 21 December 23 05:05 GMT (UK) »
I have just seen a letter dated 16th May 1946 which states an address for a Chief Petty Officer - Wren
as being C/o "Novadel" Pier Road, Gillingham, Kent. I was wondering if anyone can tell me if Novadel was a barracks for Wren's attached to the Chatham Dockyard. The person in question was serving in Egypt at the end of the war and returned to England prior to discharge.
Thanks
David

Newspaper articles in the 1940's mention Novadel Ltd, Pier Road, Gillingham, Kent.

There are a few results if you google it
