A Lamb mystery?
« on: Thursday 28 December 23 09:26 GMT (UK) »
Hope everyone had a good Christmas.
Would like to know how to solve this mystery or how to go about it.
Thomas Andrew Edward Hale born 1899 Bell Hill Lydbrook, parents William Hale 1852-1934 and Teresa Bennett 1859-1901 both born in Lydbrook, William remarried in 1902 to Mary Cole.
Thomas had 5 siblings
William John 1888-1888
Eva Anne 1889-1904
Katherine Teresa 1891-1892
Charlotte Mary 1893-1954
Agnes Lily 1897-1982
Going back to Thomas
Thomas married Gwendoline Audrey Lydia Morgan in 1933  Berkshire, Gwendoline was born in Cardiff 1900-1979,  both Gwendoline and Thomas died in Wales, Glamorganshire. in the 1939 reg both where living in Chipping Sodbury, Thomas's occupation Aircraft Fitter Assembler. They had a son called Norman Andrew Edward .
Now the mystery or have I the wrong family?  When Thomas married Gwendoline in 1933 his surname was altered to Lamb, his son's surname also was Lamb.
Any advice would be grateful

A published tree (with photo) says that he was adopted by his mother’s cousin, Edward Lamb in 1903.

There is this entry for 1911 - at boarding school
