Believed to be Isabella Hardie, New Pitsligo, Aberdeenshire
« on: Thursday 28 December 23 23:49 GMT (UK) »
Hi Chatters

This image is from a tiny, poor photo that is included in my great great grandmother's photo album. I believe it is her eldest half sister Isabella Hardie 1849-1899. (The scan was provided to me a few years ago as one of 10 images on a single page. I can't get a better scan of Isabella alone.)

I hope someone can clean it up and make it a bit crisper, please. I'd like to use it in a black & white personal family history booklet.

Thanks in advance for your efforts. :)

Many thanks hoobaloo, loord74, and japeflakes. I feel like she has come to life now and it is wonderful to see. :)

She is the elder sister of the woman in my profile photo, and there is certainly a similarity.

My mum says I take after this side of the family, and my-oh-my, your refurbished images have my nose, mouth (and wrinkles) down to a T!

Thanks again one and all. You have warmed my heart with your efforts.

I'd like to use it in a black & white personal family history booklet.

One more, just noticed you said it was for a B&W photo booklet.

I'm delighted to have some choices for Isabella.

As Foto1900 pointed out, it is a difficult photo. Thank you for giving Isabella a much-needed refresh. What an improvement.

RJ137, your rosy cheeks version captures my heart & your black & white version is wonderful.

I can't thank you both enough for bringing your expertise to bear.
