Help deciphering this Place in England - SOLVED-
« on: Friday 29 December 23 17:07 GMT (UK) »
Where was born this english man called George Nash?

From the 1906 census of Gouvieux in Oise, France.
It should be a village or a town but could also be a county, then angl is written meaning angleterre.

I decipher S ( 1rst letter ...last letter  could be M, N E, R, D,U , according to the other entries.

if you are not convinced by Sussex there is a town called Sutton
'Sutton, outer borough of London, England, on the southern perimeter of the metropolis. It lies at the edge of the Green Belt and is bordered by Surrey (south and west) and the boroughs of Croydon (east) and Kingston upon Thames and Merton (north).'

and more at this link.
