Possible murder/incident
« on: Saturday 30 December 23 19:03 GMT (UK) »
Hi occording to family members my gg grandfather Patrick coyne born 1857 died 1903 who lived in Tooreen Ireland. Was found dead tied to his horse in 1903/1904.

Unfortunately  I have not been able to find any documents to support this. Story has it he was murdered and his horse made its way back home. I have only been able to find some petty court records for his wife Margaret and sons Patrick and MIcheal concerning their neighbour's the lyden family due to feuds in Toreen in 1913 but nothing regarding the incident or death of Patrick Coyne.  Any help would be gratefully recieved.

Died of a gastric ulcer and the age doesn't fit your information either.

Pat COYNE of Tooreen had a few drunk and disorderly charges, the last I can see was 21 August 1905 at Letterfrack.
