I can't see a burial in Wrexham for Elizabeth.

There's  a burial June 7th 1825 for an Elizabeth Nevit, Wrexham/Abenbury Vechan, aged 76

She might be the Elizabeth  and would fit the age range - James b. c. 1747 and she born 1749 from the burial info.  It would mean that Elizabeth would be about  43-4 when Jane was born.

F M P has James as aged 63, so b.c. 1745   The original image has a smudged number after the 6 so he could be  61 or 63. It has a slight curve at the bottom which is similar to a 3 lower down the page.

Just looked at Jane's baptism, 1793. The abode looks like  Vechan.

I've just found the marriage of James and Elizabeth, Marchwiel, 10 Dec 1789.

Nevit has been transcribed as Evans!

Add - is that an Ed (Edward) between James and Nevit??

It's to take my mind and hearing off this darn smoke alarm. The backup battery is on it's last legs! It's too high, even with steps, for either Mr G or the neighbour to reach as it's on a double height ceiling next to the stairs!. Will have to wait until tomorrow to get someone with an even bigger step ladder.  :-X

ADD - I think Abenbury Vechan, Kings Mills and Marchwiel are  reasonably close together to the SE of Wrexham

I wonder which pub James Hankey was at in Holt. My own Wilcoxon family were there at that time, perhaps they popped in for a pint 🍻🍻🍻

Thank you both, you have been very helpful. I think a trip to the cemeteries and churches in the area might be useful, I could do with a holiday.

I'm not sure if you've found this but The National Library has the will of James Newett (sic) dated 1809. It is the same one  who died 1808.

In it he mentions his wife Elizabeth and his youngest daughter Jane.

It's difficult to read online but, by scrolling and enlarging, you can read what is there.
