regarding Mary, that is her in the census in Coleraine recorded in 1901. I tried to find a birth record for Thomas Horrigan to no avail, maybe he was born somewhere else and not County Clare?

What is the evidence that Nora and Mary are sisters?

The reason why I believe Nora and my 3rd great-grandfather Mary were sisters is because, on their father John's death record, Nora, his daughter, was listed as the informant. She lived at Castlequarter which is the same as the 1901 census...

According to military records, 2497 Pte. John Gegan "was born in the Parish of Kilkeedy near the Town of Gort in the County of Clare", he attested for the 21st Regiment of Fusiliers (Royal Scottish Fusiliers) at Limerick in Co. Limerick on 10 February 1848 at the age of 22, he served in the Crimea for 1 and 9/12 years, in Malta for 3 and 10/12 years and the West Indies for 1 year, he chose to be discharged from service on 2 March 1869 (at the Curragh) at the age of 43, stating his intended place of residence as Ennis, Co. Clare.

The military records show him based in Glasgow in 1851, in 1861 he was based at the 1st Battalion Depot in Birr, Co. Offaly. In relation to the latter, note the following baptism in Birr RC parish of an Honor Geoghegan on 11 March 1862, parents recorded as John Geoghegan and Mary Gorman, sponsors Richard Murphy and Alicia Barron:

I thought this might be be Nora, but then noticed that it isn't consistent with her stated birth place in the 1901 Ireland census (ie. Queens County), but no matter, just to note for now until it can be ruled out. Likewise, a marriage for John Gegin and Mary Gorman on 23 February 1846 in Kinvara RC parish, witnessed by a Thomas Brody (or Brady) and Winny Geraghty:

I just found this: Bridget Gegan died at Corofin Workhouse, listed as the widow of an Army pensioner. Could this be Mary, the wife of John and mother of Nora and Mary? Did she go by both Mary and Bridget, or could this just be a coincidence?

Think you have the correct couple gaffy
Should have looked for this first
John Logue and Mary Geoghegan marriage 1867
https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/marriage_returns/marriages_1867/11486/8221992.pdf
Was in St James Dublin
Church register gives her mother as Mary Gorman if I’m reading it correctly (3rd from the top)

That's a great find Sinann, it looks like Mary Gorman alright.

In the same parish a couple of months earlier in November 1866, I wondered about the following baptism, 3rd line down, Brigid Gegan baptised for parents John Gegan and Mary Gorman and the location to me looks like... Richmond Barracks:

I'd love to see the corresponding civil registration to see if it's them or just a coincidence, but I haven't been able to find it yet.
