Henry McCurry (1801 - 1873) Derriaghy area
« on: Tuesday 02 January 24 20:32 GMT (UK) »
I have been dabbling in my family tree for several years and have managed to trace most elements on both sides - except for my paternal great grandmother's family.
My great grandfather (Thomas McAuley 1845-1929) married Elizabeth McCurry (1842-1901) in Derriaghy. Alas, I have been unable to find any useful information at all about the McCurry family, other than info on the marriage certificate that stated her father was called Henry.
Are there any scholars who could please give me a clue?

A couple of months after their marriage, Thomas and Elizabeth McAuley were witnesses to the marriage of a Catherine McCurry to Thomas Wilson, I'm guessing she was Elizabeth's sister:

Thanks KG.
Elizabeth’s marriage shows her residence as ‘Anahoe’, I think so that would fit.

It looks as though gaffy has found a sister, too.

A witness is Henry McCurry but can’t be her father, if that death is correct.
