DNA - I had mine done 15 years ago - and have many many matches - but NONE closer than 5 generations back - so I wouldn't cross my fingers if I were you  ???

There may not be any connection between Aggie and Frederick. Were you thinking there may be? There could be any number of reasons that Frederick adopted Richard, and I’m sure you’ve probably already considered most of them, so I won’t speculate.

The thing that I find puzzling is that if there are a number of males in a family who could be the father, how you could work out which it is (beyond reasonable doubt).  :)

Garsonite, are you referring to lack of close matches with an autosomal test or a y-DNA test?
