CR -  That's as far as the 5 ancestry trees go but you've probably seen those.

Kenya is in East Africa, not available on line.  Have you checked what resources might be available ?

You might want to check the Portsmouth Evening News April, 1955.
There is some sort of announcement there which looks relevant to your search.
It is possibly his death.

On the off chance try searching the Kenya Gazette,  much of  which is digitised on line.
The key newspaper is the East African Standard, which as far as I know hasn't been digitised. The British Library holds Saturday editions only in hard copy.
This is probably too far in the past, but you might try approaching the Kenya Society which is or was London based.
