GRO Download Digital Image

Hi Happy New Year everyone !

Sorry if this is in the wrong place.

I ordered two death certificates in digital image very late last night, received a payemnt receipt and a confirmation which said the following:

Your order has been successfully sent to GRO for processing.

Customers are advised to read the service announcements on our website.

Please find below the order reference details.


I've checked my account and the orders aren't showing there.   I have two questions:

a)   Does the order show as soon as you make it or does it show when ready to download.
b)   Any idea how long it takes - on the birth certs I've ordered digital images of its been practically instantaneous.

My orders are not showing either.

I only received a paper copy about a month ago and the last digital copy took a few days before I received an eMail with the PDF attached.

Thank you very much - good to know its not just me.

I had ordered digital images - the £2.50 ones rather than pdf's.  I hadn't realised they were available for deaths so it was a nice surprise.

I have ordered several dozen digital images since Christmas, but not since the new year.  All were accessible very soon, except for one which was only available as a PDF, and that appeared today.  In my experience, after you have parted with your money, then clicked on 'Complete Payment', the images can be seen within seconds.

LATER  -  I have ordered two more certs, both arrived quickly as described.

Thank you for getting back to me, I tried again earlier this afternoon and it worked.   I think I may have been too tired last night and hadn't realised that the image is right there as soon as you order;  to view your orders you need to put the dates in.
