Are they not the reference numbers of the farms/smallholdings where she worked? There may be a master index of all the farms somewhere the NRS.

Hi Andy
I had thought that's what they were I now need to find out if there is a master index or if it's held by the council area where the farms were

Hi BruceL

You could try contacting Scotlands People to make inquiries about the specific references used and whether a guide may be available?

See www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk/guides/record-guides/scottish-womens-land-army-records

Hi All
I have this afternoon received a reply from Scotlandspeople that unfortunately there is no index of farms and smallholdings on which the women who were in the land army worked.
