Thank you all for all your replies, with a big thank you to Sandra and Amondg.

I will work my way through them but it certainly appears that William Atkinson who married in 1921 is "my" William James Atkinson.

The clincher is Sydney Atkinson sailing to Quebec in 1925 to visit his brother, William. Father, James Atkinson address of 12 South Crescent, Sowerby, Thirsk matches the address I already have of him.

Don't know why I originally put "Mary" Levitt when I know very well it is "Emily" Levitt, I have the marriage certificate, must be a tryping error!
