Soviet Passport
« on: Friday 05 January 24 12:40 GMT (UK) »
Hi,

I would really appreciate any attempt at transcribing place of birth and place of residence in the attached extract of a Soviet passport from the 1920s. I have included other surviving bits of text, which may help.

My closest guess is the raion for place of birth is Poltava.

Thanks,

Ben

Seeing as no-one else seems to want to have a go, I did a year of Russian at night school 30 years ago, so will stick my neck out and say that I agree with Poltava as the district of birth. For residence,( question 5 ) not sure of the first words but think the district is Alekseyevka  or something similar. Might be this one just over the current border?
