« on: Saturday 06 January 24 00:56 GMT (UK) »
I would like to find out, if possible, who was living at 8 Millais Road, Moston, Manchester c1972.  It should be the Burtonwood family but I suspect it is not.  Many thx

There are phone books on Ancestry cover the period. But you have to search by surname.  But perhaps you can see where your people are that way?

Collection is named  “British Phone Books, 1880-1984”

You may be able to get help here - electoral registers
https://www.manchester.gov.uk/directory_record/212379/electoral_registers

There is a Millais Street in Moston - do you mean that?

Rootschat does not allow names to be posted, if the persons are /may be still living and with that date, it is very possible. If you are unsure, you should remove the surname.

Find my Past has newspaper snippets/records. You can search for free and there is a reference there which might be helpful to you.

Thankyou Heywood and mckha489 - can't figure out how to reply here.  If it's on ancestry (I did check) it must be under their surname (so the surname I have is incorrect).  I checked the Manchestergov too and they don't have access to that period (1970's) online (I am in US).  Anyway, not to worry.  Appreciate your help.  On I plod......
