It is so nice when you get back what you have given, even though it was not done for reciprocation.
It does not always happen like that but sometimes comes from other
sources .
Kindness  can go around ,spreads like a stone in a still pool.
Kindness done without the expectation of return, but simply because a need was seen is often returned in ways quite unexpected and unlinked to the original deed.
I can imagine Jeff justly deserves all the kindness and consideration he has received and will continue to  receive.
Nor will he keep it to himself ,it will be shared I feel sure.

Viktoria.

Jeff - glad to hear all went as expected for Jane’s funeral and the support of your family and friends filling the church to the rafters must have helped.

Your Sons sound wonderful chaps and so good you have their support at these times too.
Something to look forward to for the summer seeing your family coming from OZ will, I’m sure, help you to get through the next few months.
We are all thinking about you and wish you well and RC’s are wonderful unseen friends to support in whatever way we all can.

Take care and be sure to look after yourselves… I will be thinking of you.

We're experiencing a very peaceful weekend here, as our TV aerial is not working.  I hadn't realised how much time we spent watching TV, but we are enjoying the radio and books and catching up on lots of little jobs which we have been avoiding.

/quote]

TV aerial engineer came today (Wednesday 17th) switched the TV on and it worked perfectly! He tested everything, found that the tuner in the set had broken, and discovered that one particular switch had been turned off, however he couldn't discover which switch, as the previous owners of our house had had TV aerials in every room, upstairs and down.   The broken tuner apparently didn't affect our ability to view, as we don't have satellite TV and only watch the basic channels.  After the engineer had gone my husband searched around behind the shelves in his book-lined study and found the culprit.  We have no idea how it got switched off, as it was on the wall behind two layers of books!

The call-out charge was £60, but that was better than what we had expected, as we thought we would have to have a new aerial (£200-300 + VAT).
