I know the village is Hatton of Fintray

But for the life of me I can't read the actual birth address. If anyone can unravel then it would be much appreciated  :)

That is the address. Above it is the date and time of birth.

Add - I see others have said this now.

Peter Charles Wilson
Birth:  Jan 17 1865 - Dumfries, Dumfries, Scotland
Parents:  John Wilson, Mary Callaghan

Interesting. That Peter Charles Wilson, born 17 January 1865, would have been one day short of his 36th birthday on the date of marriage of Peter Charles Wilson and Marian Ward.
In which case, AshWilson1986, what evidence do you have that makes you think he was the one born to Mary Wilson on 27 May 1863?

What is your evidence to suggest that the Peter Wilson you are looking for is the Peter Wilson born in 1863 to Mary Wilson rather than the Peter Charles Wilson born in 1865 to John Wilson and Mary Callaghan?

My Grandfather said his Grandfather(Peter) was from the Aberdeenshire area and it was confirmed by his brothers and sisters also and i remember it from a family chat when i was a kid. They just didn't go into any detail and all their family trees have a Peter Wilson from Fintray/Aberdeen. So they knew but didn't give any more info and they are all deceased now. I've only recently started to trace my ancestry properly.

It's definitely the right Peter Wilson.

I got the Peter Charles Wilson info wrong at the time so my fault if I've mislead.

Fine, if you are sure.

I was just a bit worried by the fact that on the marriage certificate he says his father was Peter Wilson, and that his age was only 35. Perhaps he was embroidering the truth a little!

However I see that Peter Charles Wilson, mother's maiden surname Callaghan, died in Gourock in 1933 aged 68. So he can be eliminated from the search.

Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

I think I've got a bit carried away when it comes to the family search/ancestry sites.
Just forget them all and stick to Scotland's People for events in Scotland.
