Good Morning Everyone,

Thank you so much for all your inputs, I am very grateful.   I thought the wife's unusual name "Lima" would be more than helpful in research terms against the husband's less unusual "Henry SMITH". 8)   Hence my post.

Now to collate your information and investigate the NZ connection. ??? ???

Thank you all once again.

Tony, in case you haven't already found it  ;)
There is a well documented and verified WikiTree on the family which will save you a lot of time  ;D

Merlin,

Absolutely wonderful research, thank you.   I never think of looking at WikiTree as a regular component of my work......a good reminder. 8)

The joy of now being able to complete this narrative is that the "owner" of the Family Tree appears not to be aware of Henry SMITH's background, from being an arsonist with a 15 year transportation sentence, through Parkhurst Prison and eventually the Philanthropic Institute from where his sentence was commuted and he was released back into society.  Then, ironically, migrating to Australia. ::) ::)   I shall contact the "owner" in the hope my research will be of interest.

Once again, thank you so much.

Take care,

Tony
