Coroners report for Death of Elizabeth Nuttal in 1850
« on: Thursday 11 January 24 10:24 GMT (UK) »
Hi I wondered if anyone could help. I recently sent off for a digital copy of my 4 x great grandmother Elizabeth Nuttal nee Simpsons death in Tanfield Durham on the 11th March 1850. Ive attached a copy of it. There is no cause of death just that she was found dead on the road. Would there have been an inquest and coroners report as to how she died. I wondered if anyone had access to the newspaper archives or could help

Kind regards
Susan

I can't find any newspaper report on her death, I doubt if there would have been an inquest.

There do not seem to be any coroner's records that early in the county record Office catalogue.
