Thank you for all your work!

Yes we have certificates/1921 census & 1939 Register information. We have parents & grandparents information too.

The problem was Priscilla did a runner after marrying Percy. She had the 2 children & then left. She never divorced him & when he died in 1962 on the Isle of Wight he left her everything. There is no marriage between Priscilla & Stanley Brown but she used his name & altered her name to Lilian. I'm not sure of the reasons behind this but it looks to me like she didn't want to be found.

The trouble we're having is finding information on Kenneth. He moved around so often it's making it difficult, plus the surname Brown doesn't help. He was definitely last seen in Toronto Western Hospital in 1956. He had several children to different women all over the world so as yet more may appear through DNA testing on Ancestry. (So far England, Australia & Canada)

Thank you again for all the help. Best wishes

I wonder why Percy Root shows himself as a widower on the 1939 register?

You say that when he died - Percy left everything to Priscilla.  He didn't - as there was no will - the probate entry shows Administration was granted to Priscilla

Percy definitely left a will with all the proceeds going to Priscilla. It was administrated in London.

Best wishes

There was no will.  Otherwise it would say “probate to”.  Have you downloaded it from the probate website?  Costs £1.50
