« on: Saturday 13 January 24 08:07 GMT (UK) »
Can someone make out what is written in front on the names of James Ross and Isabella Lamont.
Also the spelling of Isabella's surname.

Mr & Miss ? (written with double 's')

....and it looks more like Laumond

Researching: Cuthbertson – Co. Derry, Scotland & Australia; Hunter – Co. Derry; Jackson – Co. Derry, Scotland & Canada; Scott – Co. Derry; Neilly – Co. Antrim & USA; McCurdy – Co. Antrim; Nixon – Co. Cavan, Co. Donegal, Canada & USA; Ryan & Noble – Co. Sligo

I agree with Kiltaglassan – the tall s in Miss is the same as the tall s in Ross. Looking at other entries on the same image there are occasional example of Mrs and Mr for comparison.

It's called a "long s", often confused with an f, but written/printed as ſ. (no cross-piece)
