Pleading for help to find more information on this lady.

My Grandmother Rhoda Elizabeth Down born in Tavistock Devon in 1917

Mother Lily Martha Safia Elizabeth Down Nee Leetooze

Appears on the 1929 census

Married a Harry Peters in July 1936, and became Rhoda Elizabeth Peters

Appears on the 1939 census at 10 moonsfield st germans

They had 2 children, Bryan Harry Peters 1937, then Anthony John Peters in 1942. ( I only found these recently)

Next record for her is my dad Ivor William Peters birth in 1947 in Plymouth Devon. (RIP) On his birth certificate is Rhoda Peters as his mother, and ?William John Peters (as a father, I have been searching for months and had no leads.

Then in

1950 - A daughter was born (still living) (father ?)

1957 - A son was born. (I believe father: William John Hutchings (R.I.P)

I have my grandmothers death certificate of 1959 (aged 42, ovarian cancer)

My question is are there any other documents anyone can find that may peace some of this together. This is close to my heart and is a close line, as was my Grandma.

Are the 2 children born 1937 & 1942 still alive?  If so - you need to remove their names as Rootschat has a strict no living persons policy to protect peoples privacy

The 1939 register entry for the 1937 birth is still redacted

Harry Peters was b 1901 in Cornwall - you can find him on the 1911 census.  He died 1972 - birthdate 15.5.1901

Harry was born & died as Harry - not William John

The birth cert for Ivor - does it show Rhoda Peters nee Down?

I see the  1957 birth but not one in 1950?

Who reported Rhoda’s death?

You say 1947 birth shows father William John Peters & 1950 birth William John Hutchings

Harry Peters of 10 Moonfield, Callington age 28 went to Quebec Canada arrived 31 May 1929 on the Alaunia, going to a Mr. J Venning? Ontario Canada.

Obviously he was back by 1936 to marry Rhoda Elizabeth Down.

His father Thomas  Peters left for USA 19 May 1907 age 34 a miner going to his brother in law John Cook of Houghton Michigan.
Explains why his wife Annie Maud Peters (nee Bullen) and children are alone 1911. 

He was back by the 1921 census.

School attendance officer summoned.
Mother had originally said he would be 14 in March but it was actually May. Due to the cost of bread and shortage of money she had to put him to work.

It is probably my tree you are looking at, as I put my Dads birth certificate on. On this birth certificate it names a William John Peters as his father, not Rhodas husband, Harry Peters.

I am really struggling to find out who this is. On his birth certificate it says address of: 22 cobourgh street plymouth. But cant find any records that puts Rhoda Peters or whoever William John Peters is at that address

All the people above that I have mentioned are deceased so in line with the Roots rules.

Rhoda Elizabeth Peters death certificate, i have the original copy states her mother Lily Down of prospect Cottage, Gunnislake registered the death, it also states wife of Harry Peters.

Rhoda had 2 more children after my dad, but I have no idea what 'father is named on their birth certificates, as I cant order them as they're still alive.
