I have just received notification of the death of a RootsChatter.
Not a prolific poster but very knowledgeable on a particular subject and he will be missed I think by fellow enthusiasts.
I got  a telephone message this evening from an in law, he lived alone, saying that he had died .
Had not posted for some time ,I was concerned given his age and not able to phone as was profoundly deaf and lived alone plus internet problems so I contacted the Police, he was OK but a close relative had died suddenly and he was naturally very downhearted.
So with no posts I was worried but could do nothing ,then the phone call tonight saying he had died.
I would like advice re posting a message of his death ,giving his username .
Viktoria.

Thanks I think I have done that,as a message saying someone would get back to me has come.

I can imagine there is an etiquette about reporting such things.
I will wait for guidance ,thanks for the advice.
Viktoria.

Well what sad news re the closure of Port Talbot Steel works .Jobs and all the small businesses that depend on the  custom  of those workers .
Spin offs too ,steel needed for other industries so more redundancies such as in the arms and defence industries and engineering .
And at such an unsettled time !
We could be dependant on China for steel to use to defend ourselves .

I see no sense in it at all.
The owners are not British ,and I do wonder- ?
I feel so sorry for the people directly affected and those who will be affected by the inevitable spin offs.

So glad this past week or two are over. Days at last seem to be lengthening at least a little.
