One newspaper report says Malcolm Francis had been employed by the Forestry Commission at High Meadows Wood, near Monmouth between September 1947 until 5th January 1948.

Gloucester Citizen 30th November 1946

Malcolm Francis Jones and Ernest Edward Wood appeared at Gloucester Court charged that on the 28th November they stole a car belonging to Lionel Harry Chamberlain. The addresses given by both men that neither had lived there for some time. They were remanded in custody.

Northcott.

Did he have a brother Selwyn/Selwin J C Francis Reg. June quarter 1925 Vol 5c page 846 same mother.

Another car theft - Malcolm F Jones (21) whose mother lives at Speculation Cottage, Cannop, Coleford, but, who, it was said, spent most of his time with caravan dwellers on the outskirts of Gloucester.

1955 ER shows him just as Malcolm - no other resident - address Caravan bus - over bridge

In 1954 ER he is with a Jean Francis at the same address
