There's a James Park born Bootle Mar 1893 with no mothers maiden name - have you checked him out?

Yes found that yesterday and thought I had the answer as he lived in Bootle Liverpool but when the Digital Certificate came online that James was Bootle Cumberland  - Mother was Hannah Park aged 19 of Haverigg Millom
Researched her born June 1873 to Father James Park and Ann Spencer who married in Bootle Cumberland in Dec 1866 too many Coincidences- Bootle Liverpool was named after Bootle Cumberland because of its links
A wild theory of mine is that the Two families were related and the Liverpool Family took in babies of Relatives born out of wedlock elsewhere.

Is there a baptism for the Thomas you mentioned?

So the origin of the family is the marriage between Elizabeth Hughes and James Park in 1877 is that right.

Have got 8 children now.  None listed with them in 1881.

1911 has 7 living 3 died

No Baptism or Birth Registration for Thomas either on any Ancestry Trees
Which makes me disbelieve the Statement Son and name
In 1902 when he was born Elizabeth Hughes had been having babies for 25 years since 1877

Simplest explanation would be that they were grandchildren brought up by grandparents but if so why not put them down as such.  Bit of a mystery for sure.

There are 6 Hughes children listed in 1901.  Would guess they had older children who were out of the home by then.

Isabella 14
Agnes 11
Mary E 9
James 7
Alice 5
Wm 11 months
Were they all registered as Hughes?

I have GRO  Indexes for Park /Hughes for
 Isabella
Agnes
Mary Ellen
William

But no trace of
Alice
James
