I have also looked on Mary's marriage to Thomas and it says he was a widower then. He was divorced to Isabella. So I am not sure if Mary passed away. I have a feeling she emigrated possibly to Canada?

My other predicament is there is no 1911 census for Mary A Riach or Thomas Berry. I know they both got married in September that year.

Had you tried looking for births after 1911 under Berry or Riach?
There's a record in the NRS catalogue for example:
https://catalogue.nrscotland.gov.uk/nrsonlinecatalogue/details.aspx?reference=SC45%2f16%2f1916%2f16&st=1&tc=y&tl=n&tn=n&tp=n&k=mary+berry&ko=a&r=&ro=s&df=&dt=&di=y

Wondering if a wartime pregnancy to another man might have led to the couple splitting up.

I see that Mary Ann's mother died in 1916 and left a will. Have you downloaded her will as it might contain clues as to Mary Ann's whereabouts.

Did any family members sail to North America?  Could she have followed them or even gone with them?

Hi William

Yes I have looked into her mum's will and she had left everything to her son in law and granddaughter. Mary's sister passed away before her mum did. I thought it was strange as nothing was left to Mary 🤔

Kind regards

Cheryl

Hi Lisa

I have also tried looking into this but still no luck. Not even sure if she kept her married name, maiden name or even if she had changed her name completely?

Kind regards

Cheryl
