Hello,I hope someone can give me some help please,I am looking for information on my great uncle Walter Edward wells who was born in Leicester in 1921 to Joseph Henry wells and Agnes Jane Smith,I believe he died in Leicester in 1996,any help would be greatly appreciated,thank you very much

There is a tree at Ancestry – “EA Wells Family Tree” – which includes him, looks to be well-documented (and thus probably quite reliable since it is 20th century information, about him at least). I believe that you are able to access public trees on Ancestry with a free membership.

He was born on 29th July 1921 in Countesthorpe and baptised there on September 4th, to Joseph Henry, a shoe finisher, and Agnes Jane. The family was living there in 1921, moving to Wigston in 1939.

Death register in Market Harborough in October 1996, with the same birth date.

Probable marriage to Jean Alison Moore in 1948

Her death registered in Market Harborough in Q1 1991, born on 4th April 1925, as shown in 1939.
