I'm looking for any information with regards to Janet Cunninghame who married James Tennant/ Tennent . They were married Nov 15th 1694 in Abercorn . They were the parents of Hugh Tennant born Aug 10th 1701 Abercorn . I'm trying to find the parents of Janet . Thanks in advance for any help.

Thank you Colc for your help . Another marriage I found is Johne Cunynghame and Margaret Alexander married July 1st 1669 Abercorn . I cannot remember the source of this marriage -- it may well have been familysearch.

The record you mention is on family search but not https://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk which is the only site to see the original, it may be worthwhile to contact SP to see if it is available, however the date of that marriage is very close to the birth of Janet, not impossible but in that small community in that period?

Sadly the Kirk Session records at Abercorn do not start until 1691.
