Apparently it is a breach of board policy to suggest how you pursue your research.A quick look for Thomas shows his birth registration from where you can trace the family.

Welcome to Rootschat

There is this baptism but it would mean a 20yr age gap between Richard & Sarah
If it is the right Richard - was he previously married?

Richard William Walduck
Baptism Date    30 Jun 1837
Baptism Place    St George in the East, Tower Hamlets, England
Father    Richard William Walduck - painter & glazier  Mother Louisa Walduck

No marriage in England so presume they married in SA

A warm welcome to Rootschat.
Have you checked NASA (National Archives South Africa)?

"RSA" delivers 38 hits for "Walduck".

Details on line are skeletal - the detail has to be obtained from archive.
