the 1866 parish marriage for Edward Price is online. He didn't marry Mary Ann Morris, he married the other female on the page, Jane Jones, a widow. He was a wheelwright and was a widower.

Oh dear looks like I will have to start again, Did come across the marriage between Edward Price and Jane Jones but the reason I decided against it was because on the 1881 census it looks looks like his mother Mary Ann Tipton was living with them also Mary was born in Worcestershire but after reading your message osprey, my Mary was born in 1806 while on the 1881 census Mary was born in 1811

Edward PRICE married Mary Ann MORRIS at Ribbesford 26 Feb 1866, he was a labourer and his father was John.  That was the marriage I was looking at.  That Edward, the one who married Jane JONES and the one who married in 1881 are of course all different Edwards.

sorry, I was looking at the Ludlow registered marriage which was to Jane Jones/Mary Ann Morris. As you say, not the couple whose children were born after 1881.

Thank you for your help, The marriage between Edward Price and Mary Ann Morris cannot be my Edward as his father is Joseph, he was called Joseph although his full name was William Joseph.

Back to the drawing board.

if you look back to the first reply on this thread, you will find that the wife of Edward was Mary Ann Poyner - marriage reg march qtr 1881 Ludlow vol 6a pg 759.
The maiden name given on the birth regs of the children is Poyner/Payner.

The details of the 2 1866 marriages were only given to eliminate them from the search. Edward & Mary Ann would have been very young to have married then and also have a very unlikely gap of 15 years before any children were born.
