Sadly, the one I found wasn't him. Also, if he was in jail, he would be recorded as T. R. in 1841.

I've looked for Elizabeth and children but, like you can't find then in 1841 but they are in Llanrhaiadr, YM in 1851, I think:

HO107/2499/587/4

Elizabeth  recorded as a widow and a baker. Charles not with them. Eliza and Job b. Llanrhaeadr YM.

I assume you have them?

I on;y looked for Thomas in Denbighshire institutions and wondering if he could have been in Montgomeryshire or Shropshire. If he was to be deported, he could have been anywhere though and with the initials only he will be difficult to find :-\

I wonder ??

Llanrhaeadr was in the Llanfyllin Poor Law area so they could be there.

It was just a thought while I was making spiced turkey burgers for supper ;D

Did you grow up in Glyn?

Just wondering in case you attended Dinas Bran School? We might have overlapped.

(It was Llangollen Grammar School when I started there but changed to DB when I when in 6th form! )

Not sure if these have been mentioned so far

Llansilin Burials
24 July 1849
Edward Richards, Parish  Clerk of Llansilin, aged 69

Also:

Llangollen, 28 May 1796
Edward Richards, of the parish of Llancadwaladr, bachelor, and Margaret Jones of the parish of Llangollen, spinster were married by licence

(Note the parish of Llangollen is extensive and borders the parishes of Llansilin and Selattyn to the south)
