Viktoria if you go to Ireland make sure you have either a valid ehic card or if applying this year a ghic. It’s suggested you have travel insurance as well just in case.

EHIC was never available in IoM!
Not sure about GHIC?
But I have annual Travel Insurance anyway.

LM - so sorry to hear your car troubles won’t be cheap ones!
Don’t suppose it’s got anything to do with the accident last year that the garage should have double checked on as it does seem a frightful amount to have to shell out!

Thanks for the tips re different travel insurance companies will tell my OH … not sure which ones he looked at.

I am going to check today with the garage who repaired my car in April,  it went to the dealer for a full service in June,  nothing was mentioned about the suspension  then but    it is worth me double checking,    I was hit on the nearside, the suspention failure is on the drivers  so  at the moment  I really  don't know , it is just a nuisance but I was so glad my husband  had only gone a short distance  and he wasn't in traffic. You are right, it is costly but it is something I will have to have done.

Heating failed this morning, something else to be checked out, it is chilly inside but it looks to be a nice bright day.

Anyone heard from River Tyne Lass Lately?,  don't think she has been on the diary since Christmas, hope all is well with her and her family.

I only thought that yesterday too L.M.- your car really ought to have been checked all over after an accident and reasonable that you should think it had been.
Yes’ ,River Tyne Lass, that too crossed my mind ,she has not been well.

A dull day here and cold.
Did  some shopping yesterday ,son drove me down but was in a hurry so only got half what I wanted .I will sneak out in a few moments ,I can use my bus pass after 9-30.

Hope things are not any worse R,T,L., let us know won’t you how you are .

I am amazed that The United Nations have taken the stance that they have ,a very complex situation and dangerous too.
No more as I just wanted to say how it has puzzled me .

I have posted elsewhere and so has Sarah re the gentleman who died ,he was Henry7, a very intelligent man ,great interest in Railways and was a cartographer and spoke Russian ,learnt doing his National Service.
His user name was Henry7, but I think he used HyJack sometimes too.

No real news so off shopping.
Look after yourselves

I had to have a couple of new springs on my car, suspect it was due to the number of speed bumps around here.  :-\ My car is low slung so I don't go flying over them like some folks do.

No, haven’t heard anything from RTL, hoping her grandson is okay, life has been very stressful for her.
