Roof guttering outside main bathroom, overhanging garage, down and damaged overnight, and garden waste bin skittered around lower back paved area with a great plastic thud at about 2.00, heard it, so looked out. Could do with a good night's sleep!

As promised, the wind increased this afternoon. Elizabeth, I'm on the NE coast too although a little further down, shortly after I posted we got the rain and it's been wet all day so haven’t managed my daily walk.  :-\

On a different topic altogether, I was amused to read that DPD had to disable their chatbot after it swore at a customer.  ;D ;D

BBC News - DPD error caused chatbot to swear at customer

Serves it right for trying to take over the P.O.
It will be accusing its staff of malpractice and diddling next!
It won’t be it’s computer  system though!

Viktoria.

Back from my Hospital visit for an eye check.

All is well and The Consultant was very pleased—- so was I!
He showed me a sort of photograph of my troublesome left eye,at the start of treatment ,almost half was black ie no vision but now just one small area like an eighth of a piece of pie !A big improvement.
I am so grateful ,he is lovely and the Nurses and Clerical staff too.

Fish and chips tonight for tea,so no cooking .

Louisa Maud has been in contact as I sent her a photograph of the ironing board cover I made from the pattern she posted.
It was really easy.

Hope all are well,.

aA grey day and over the moors from Rochdale quite bleak.
I suggested to the driver that we might stop at Bleakholt ,there is a little dog I would like to re- home but better wait until my heart check on Feb 13 th.
His schedule was too tight anyway so we had to give it a miss  ::)

Sorry to read of wind damage ,I have not looked at my property yet,but I had it reroofed and pointed so hope it has withstood the gales.
Well a bit of ironing whilst watching The Repair Shop .
Cheerio.
Viktoria.

Sorry Roobarb,  been a bit remiss with diary this week and now it is Friday, where does the time go?.

I managed a trip out with my friend to Chelmsford,  quite a journey really, drizzled all day but it was nice to get out, enjoyable day until we tried to  get on our homeward bus, right in front of us 2 schoolgirls started a fight, there seemed to be scores of children,  one woman, either brave or stupid separated them, we thought they were getting on our bus but fortunately  didn't, sigh of relief , one girl was still running around like an idiot after the bus had gone,  difficult to miss the school bus, apart from that was a enjoyable day.

Sun out today thank goodness, but still windy, double pegs on the washing,
the bright days  make it feel so much better.

Hope everyone is tickets boo!

Bright sunny day here too in Devon and rather windy, so the washing line is full and blowing madly.  There are only two of us, so where does all this washing come from?  My grandson was busy making a birthday card for me  few years ago, and when he was stuck as to what he should draw on it his mother said, "Draw something that reminds you of Grannie".  The result - a lovely picture of a line of washing!  ;D

Today we will buy our travel insurance for a projected trip.  Why today?  There's a special offer of 20% off which finishes at the end of January.  This is only taken off the basic cost, of course, and you pay full price on all your "black marks" (age, health problems, etc.).  My tip - always buy just before your birthday, as the price goes up with every year of your birthday.

Gillg,  you really made me laugh about the birthday xard, might ask my two what they would put on a card for me , ,

That is a hold tip about renewing  insurance  for holidays, not that we will be gpi going abroad anymore.

My car has died this morning, my husband went out and  came back within  minutes, making  a racket, after my accident I paid £900  to have a complete service done on it and passed the  MOT    in August, 8 hope it isn't anything  to drastic, waiting for it to be towed to a garage, but it is only a car.

Enjoy your day everyone.
