parish entry for 1839 marriage
parish church of Basingstoke 9 Sept 1839
William Bowley full widower labourer Basingstoke father William Bowley labourer
Elizabeth Cooke full widow Basingstoke father John Harfield labourer
witnesses John Harfield & Mary Harfield, William & Mary both marked.

I think the witness John is a brother of Elizabeth, he was baptised in Cliddesden 28 July 1805.

I know that this must be unrelated but it is a coincidence that in 1841 living next door to William and Elizabeth Bowley was a James Cook age 45 blacksmith with daughter  Mary Ann who in 1843 appears to marry William Smallbone :-\
