There are a few Owen Cahill's in St. Paul's Dublin at the time according to FS.

I was curious what the wedding doc says for Owen's occupation. Seedsman?

A witness to that marriage is Elizabeth Cahill.

It is a different Mary to the published trees and referenced by Monica in reply #6.

Yes, Elizabeth Cahill is a new character in the script.

Sorry, linkshrink is not working for me at this time after several tries.

Honor Cahill  of St. Paul's North Dublin shows up in a bunch of docs.

I am getting confused here re the Owen/Honor/Mary that you are posting about Alan.
Here is John and Mary  Gartland in 1901.
Mary nee Cahill is 46 yrs old in 1901.
https://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Dublin/Rotunda/Great_Britain_Street/1282254/

In 1911 she is 60 yrs

Added: this is the wrong Mary.

I do apologise - I missed this earlier post so the Dublin finds are irrelevant.

Thank you all for so much help already, I have found out the following :

Honor married Owen Cahill who was a solider & they had a daughter Mary Cahill who married Alfred Elton and then Frederick Elton.

I think Mary was born in 1834 rather than Honor if this is of any help.

I hope this can shed some more light on Honor and Owen if possible.

Monica #reply 6 and Deborah were on to the right Mary earlier. (Sorry)

I apologize for posting any wrongful info about Mary Cahill. I was going on the parents names Honor Mannion and Owen Cahill in St. Paul's North Dublin and then pointed out the possibility of the Mary Cahill with father Owen marrying in St. paul's being the same one. Wasn't stating as fact it was the same one...just guessing.

Perhaps, like me you missed the post re Mary’s marriages in Pembroke etc.

It looks as though Mary b 1834 is the right one.

Totally confusing which is not surprising since we all started searching with incorrect information posted originally.  :-\
