Let’s hope HonorOwen pops back to help us. It seems to be a bit of a challenge.

Thank you all for so much help already, I have found out the following :

Honor married Owen Cahill who was a solider & they had a daughter Mary Cahill who married Alfred Elton and then Frederick Elton.

I think Mary was born in 1834 rather than Honor if this is of any help.

I hope this can shed some more light on Honor and Owen if possible.

Right under the birth of Mary Cahill:

There is a wedding for the same Mary in 1873.
She marries a John Gartland.

What do you mean by 'right under'?  If it is the same Mary she would have been aged 40.

Debra  :)

I think that HonorOwen has been online a couple of times since the first post.
Nothing found, fits with the original post.
There are published trees which reference information already posted, mainly from Mary b 1834.

I am trying to find out some more details on Gt Gt Gt Grandparents, Honor & Owen Cahill married in Galway in 1866.

Honor's maiden name was Mannion. I believe she was born in 1834

Any help would be very appreciated.

Perhaps generations have been confused.
It might be best to start with confirmed records from your family.

I meant on family search site if you search for Honor Mannion the first things thst pop up are the birth of Mary Cahill. Righr below that is a wedding for the same Mary.

If i pasted the link for that familysearch search result it would have been really long and ugly.
Stewart. Scott. Bruce. McPherson. McMurray. McKibbin . McKay. McCann. Mckrinkine. McClewnan. McCallum. Joss. Ross. Morrison. Chapman. Middlemiss. Robinson. Conlon. Duffy. Dalgarno. Crookshank. Gammack. Ramsay. Mutch. Crawford. Orr. Galbraith. Kerr. Fergusson. Campbell.

Then why don't you use RootsChat ShrinkLink for that long link.

Now that I have heard of it ...
Thanks, I will use it.

I also wasn't sure if you can share your private search links from FS.

At any rate here's the link:

People didn't marry at age 40? (it says full age spinster on the doc). I had previously seen people aged 40 or higher marrying in my research.

Anyhow she would have been 39  ;D

Marriage 1873 from FamilySearch-
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:65M7-RZFZ

FS incorrectly spelling Cahill with one 'l'
