Trying to find anymore information on this ancestor, there seems to be a lot of unconfirmed information as well as he just doesn't seem to exist prior to 1818.
Charles G Ross, b. 1794 (unconfirmed), Kincraig. d. 1844 Victoria, BC Canada. Was a fur trader for HBC from 1818-1844.
Letters written by Charles confirm a sister Elizabeth (Eppy) Macdonald, sister Kate and speaks of "their poor brother" (likely John Ross).
Further information that I've been unable to confirm as being correct/incorrect.
Multiple names provided for parents including; Charles Ross & Christian Munro / Walter Ross & Elizabeth Wallace / Walter Ross & Christian Wallace
Siblings include; John Ross - died at sea 1826 aboard the Eclipse after visiting brother Walter Ross in Demerara. Dr. Walter Ross (1793-1832) in British Guyana, Catherine (Kate?) Young who married editor of the London Times and sister Elizabeth who moved to Ontario Canada.
It is thought the parents died young, and the children were raised by their uncle John Wallace.
There is indication that there may be relation to Alexander Wallace (1660-1735), but again unconfirmed information.
