Came across a fairly substantial ancestry tree which might indicate that siblings passed away in Lancashire.  No idea why at this stage,  William Leo Carroll was buried in Ireland ?

Will send a message and hopefully get a response/ Fingers crossed.

Newspaper report 8th November 1917 - Londonderry Sentinel

Wireless Operator killed at Rathmullan
An inquest was held at Rathmullan concerning the death of  William Leo Carroll age 25 years, and a native of Liverpool.  It appeared that the deceased was working on one of the yards on the top of a mast of a vessel. The mast snapped and deceased fell a distance of forty feet, death being instantaneous.  The jury returned a verdict of accidental death and expressed their sympathy with the relatives of the deceased

Thanks for finding that Rosie.  :)  Didn't think there were any relatives in Ireland so he was just working there. Oh how awful and sad  :'(
