Richard Charnock of London
« on: Saturday 27 January 24 12:34 GMT (UK) »
Richard Charnock of London died c. 1665. Will proved 2nd June 1665. Birth year not known. In his will (drawn 1663), he calls himself a yeoman. He had two sons, Job and Stephen (a Puritan Divine). Stephen's biographies say that his father Richard Charnock was "an attorney or solicitor of London"; one source even says "practising in the Court of Chancery".
Can anyone please confirm whether any Richard Charnock, Attorney or solicitor of London, practising in any court whatsoever can be found on record? Stephen was born in 1628 at the parish of St Katherine Creechurch, London, so Richard must have been active during that time or later. Thanks in advance.
