Thanks for the possible probate for her mother Elizabeth.  I've just purchased the digital GRO death record hoping it may show Rosina as being there at the death but that's now thrown another spanner in the works!

Rosina's older married sister Elizabeth was the informant who would be my great grandmother.

However my Elizabeth Thompson married Albert Hardwell in 1891 but the informant on the death record is Elizabeth Perrin!

This is really strange because I have Elizabeth and Albert's marriage record, her father was Edward Thompson and in previous censuses was shown as a beer retailer, living York House.

I'm so confused now!

From further research with census and birth records, I think the Rosina who married William Parsley was the daughter of a James Roberts Thompson, so not your one.

St Luke, Bedminster
Rosina Thompson
Father James Robert Thompson
Mother  Mary Ann
Baptism date 30 Dec 1866

Re: the possibility of Rosina emigrating, I've not been able to narrow that down, far too many possibilities.

Have to leave for bit, my grocery shopping has arrived early!  Will be back asap.

Thank you so much for all your advice up to now, it really is a difficult one!

Yes agreed that one wasn't her sadly.

There is a Rosina Thompson who died in 1913 Bristol age 45 but no other info to establish more.
Hinchliffe - Huddersfield Wiltshire
Burroughs - Arlingham Glos

Edward Thompson on the marriage register (28 Mar 1891 for Elizabeth Thompson and Albert Hardwell) has his occupation listed as a boot finisher.
There is a marriage on 29 Sep 1887 for an Elizabeth Ann Thompson to a Walter George Perrin in St Philip and St Jacob, Bristol and her father is Edward Thompson a Victualler.

In 1911 Elizabeth and Walter Perrin have living with them a niece called Christine Williams, single, born c1886 in Bristol, Gloucestershire and she is a schoolmistress for the school board.

Just checked, that is no help for the Thompson side of things, Christine's mother is Annie nee Perrin.

So, if your Elizabeth is the one who married Albert Hardwell, her address on the marriage cert 28 March 1891 is 35 Weare St, Bedminster.

1891 census for that address includes this family
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:WRQ5-L6Z
Rosina Harriet born St Paul's as was Elizabeth Hardwell

parish marriage St Matthew Bristol 25 July 1886
Henry Richard George Wyatt 22 bach furnace man 21 Penn St father George Wyatt engine fitter
Rosina Harriett Thompson 21 spin 21 Penn St father Edwin Thompson (dec) riveter
witnesses George Wyatt, Albert Hardwell & Elizabeth Thompson.

Rosina seems to have been baptised more than once, but parents noted as Edwin Thompson & Elizabeth Barry on both

https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:6CBP-TQWM

and at same time in 1872 sister Elizabeth
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:Q2Z7-RRR9

1871 census for the sisters, father Edwin noted as shoemaker
