annotation on burial register
« on: Sunday 28 January 24 00:39 GMT (UK) »
Hi everyone,
i recently purchased a burial register and it came back, however when i went today too see the grave there was no headstone so i couldn't locate her. i looked back at the register and above her name and the other baby she was buried with was a annotation.

i have no clue what they mean and google is no help - this was in newcastle upon tyne 1917

if you mean “Ex H” – could this be “from hospital”?

As the babies were buried together may indicate a common grave.
If the cemetery has an office they should be able to give you
a plot number & location 148 may refer to that.

thankfully within the record i was given it had the plot number (which was 6) but there was no headstone, we don’t think my ancestors had the money to pay for a headstone
