Viewing matches' family trees at MyHeritage
« on: Sunday 28 January 24 20:21 GMT (UK) »
When my matches have family trees and I click to view them they tend to have much fewer people visible than it said were going to be in the tree eg 8 out of 99. Are the rest all private or am I missing something?

Are you changing to family view from pedigree view?

AS YT says, it's best to click on Pedigree View, top right.

Yes I was looking at pedigree view (8 out of 99 people, ), I've just switched to family view and it's 46 out of 99 people 22 of which have names and the other 24 are 'private'.

In pedigree view, click the arrow to the right and the tree moves along.  Family view show very little, depending on the size of the generations.

Add - you could also use  Fan  view and List view

There is no arrow to the right, is that because I'm only on Myheritage because I've uploaded my DNA from Ancestry there and not a subscriber?

Do you have these on the extreme right.

I'm on my laptop so have to move often.

I/ve just seen what your numbers are.

In family view, you have the whole tree. In pedigree view, you just get your direct lines.
