William Cookson died aged 87 in Madeley in 1840.

I’m trying find a baptism record for him in Shropshire. He married Joan Wilkes in 1779 Much Wenlock if that helps.

William Cookson 19 April 1752 Harley, parents Samuel and Ann.

Harley is about 6 miles from Madeley.

sorry - that William Cookson married Elizabeth Roe according to this tree - and died in Harley in 1784 aged 32
